GRANT APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR VICTORIA COUNTY UNITED WAY AGENCY FUNDING
“Victoria County United Way (VCUW) is now accepting grant applications from agencies serving Victoria and the surrounding counties (DeWitt, Goliad, Refugio, Lavaca and Gonzales) for next year’s funding cycle (July 2016 – June 2017)”, announced Dolly Stokes, Executive Director. Grant applicants must be certified 501(c) (3) organizations for at least two years and applications must specify how the requested funds would be used to improve the lives of people within one or more of the three broad categories of Education, Income, and Health.
Required documentation includes a recent audit, agency certification, form 990 and data on the number of people served, budget and financial records, and compliance with all legal requirements.The grant applications will be received until April 15, 5:30pm, 2016 and must be complete with all required attachments.
“We very much appreciate the community’s contributions in volunteer hours and financial support to allow grant funding for agencies providing critically needed services”, said Greg Westbrook, VCUW Chairman of the Board and DuPont Victoria Plant Manager.“Our Community Investment Committee will review all applications, visit each agency site and conduct grant hearings for each applicant’, he said.
